Defend Your Borders From Dangerous Immigrants.
Indie studio League of Sweat is releasing today their first hit Freedom Defender on Steam. This satirical tower-defense game complains about the criminalization of immigrants in first world countries. Since the beginning of its development, the title has experienced many obstacles due to it’s controversial main topic.
In this game you command 20 units of the noble citizens of the United Freedom Country of Arsholes (UFCA) to stop the filthy enemies of Liberty who come from all around Planet Dearth. Fight against 40 different types of enemies belonging to Hexican, Burub and Commy ethnic groups, and prevent them from invading your well-deserved territory. Use as many different weapons as possible to don’t let this happen!
“With Freedom Defender we wanted to report how senseless immigration policies can be by creating a perfectly polished tower-defense game with stylized visuals,” says Kirill Timoschuk, CEO and Development Director at League of Sweat. “The authors of the game in no way encourage the behavior demonstrated in the game, and do not call for its repetition”.
Freedom Defender contains 40 levels and different difficulty settings to challenge both casual and hardcore gamers. Apart from the classic tower-defense playability, the game also incorporates minigames based on gambling, driving vehicles and old-school shooting. Two new features will be included in the very near future –endless survival mode and PvP multiplayer.
Features:
– Full campaign with 40 levels
– 20 types of units under Your command
– 40 types of enemies will try to take You down
– Endless survival mode
– Different minigames
– Tons of fun!
– Free beer and cheeseburgers
– And FREEDOM of course!
About Freedom Defender:
In this game you will play as noble UFCA (United Freedom Country of Arsholes) citizens to try to stop filthy enemies of freedom from all around planet Dearth (and maybe even outside it!) in different ways. The game is some kinds of tower-defense, but with many non-classical features like gambling-minigames, driving vehicles, even fighting! During 40-levels campaign you will lead UFCA military to defend liberty of UFCA from all possible(and impossible) enemies. Your honorable army would be made up of 20 different defenders. In intermissions between battles you can relax playing peaceful minigames (controlling WASD only). Before every mission You can buy new units for in-game currency in “Store”, choose which units You will use on level in “Stock” and press “Start” button. Then You must plan Your defense with chosen units by drag and drop them with mouse and don’t let enemies pass.
On the level You have to pay for each unit placed. Money drops from defeated enemies. You can also remove already placed units by “hammer” button in right bottom of the screen and get half of their price back. Minigames use keyboard WASD buttons. In the minigame with the Fatman catching burgers you can move him left or right by pressing A or D button respectively to avoid falling boots and catch falling burgers. In minigame with van riding a road You can move the van up or down by pressing W and S buttons respectively to avoid obstacles and reach destination point. You can call in-game-menu by pressing the Esc button or by pressing “wrench” button in left bottom of the screen. Installing the demo-version is simply unpacking the rar archieve. Starting is simply running the exe file in main directory. In nearest future we’re planning to add more languages, Mac and Linux support (and maybe even iOS and Android), make some graphical improvements, add Multi-player with PvP and, ofcourse, more locations to fight the enemies of freedom!
