Press release:
SEOUL, South Korea, 20 AUGUST 2020 – Following the unprecedented success of their first pre-sale, which sold out in 18 hours, Planetarium is today announcing their final pre-sale before the launch of their ambitious title “Nine Chronicles” – an MMORPG powered by the players, aiming to make blockchain technology accessible to all through its robust economy where supply and demand are the greatest currency.

This will be a great opportunity for players to claim their share of the limited in-game economy at a discount before the main launch, which will be used to power the market, the crafting forge, governance features, and key ecosystem development.

Every early backer will receive a 5% bonus to Nine Chronicles Gold and a rare food material package that can be used to craft powerful consumables in-game. They’ll also be opportunities to secure exclusive wearable items, a physical collector’s package, legendary costumes, and titles, that will only be available during the pre-sale phase.

In partnership with Ubisoft and Hashed, a global venture fund focused on blockchain, Nine Chronicles is a free-to-play RPG set in a vast fantasy world based on Planetarium’s innovative Libplanet blockchain engine.

Planetarium’s CEO Kijun Seo said, “We’re thrilled to announce the final pre-sale of Nine Chronicles to our community. Nine Chronicles is paving the way to our vision of a serverless MMORPG powered by the players.”

“Thousands of players have tested our game, participated in the presale, and gave us amazing feedback to help us realize our open-source model with an open economy. As our thanks, we’ve put together limited edition digital assets and physical rewards for the participants, so please take a look at our presale and the game’s launch!”

As one of the first companies from Asia to have been selected for Ubisoft’s Entrepreneurs Lab, a global startup program fostered by Ubisoft, Planetarium is thrilled by the opportunity to extend this collaboration further.

Nicolas Pouard, Blockchain Initiative Director at Ubisoft, said: “Ubisoft is always looking for new ideas to empower gamers, and Planetarium is paving the way towards more creative freedom for the community. The open-source model coupled with an open economy will create interesting new possibilities for players and we are eager to see where this path leads us.”

The final pre-sale for Nine Chronicles is available to players now through the presale page.
