Press release:
MANCHESTER, AUGUST 13 2021
No More Robots, the Manchester-based game publishing label (Descenders, Yes, Your Grace, Hypnospace Outlaw), just finished off its fourth year in business with $12 million in revenue, up 240% year-over-year, and more than 800,000 units sold across PC and console platforms.
Notably, No More Robots didn’t even launch any new games during its fourth year, relying instead on additional platform launches for its existing games.
The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch releases of Descenders sparked incredible numbers for the mountain biking title, especially when coupled with a worldwide retail push from our friends at publishing house Sold Out.
Elsewhere the console releases of Yes, Your Grace, Hypnospace Outlaw and Nowhere Prophet breathed new life into our existing catalogue, while their presence on Xbox Game Pass continued to push No More Robots titles into as many households as possible.
More than 4 million people played No More Robots games in the last 12 months, thanks to a combination of strong sales, Xbox Game Pass downloads, and Humble Choice subscriptions.
Our fifth year is looking like a good’un too, with the upcoming launches of Let’s Build a Zoo, Not Tonight 2, Fashion Police Squad, Heist Simulator, TombStar, and several unannounced surprises. Maybe Descenders will also find its way to some new platforms.
“Just come up with a quote that makes me sound clever,” said No More Robots director Mike Rose, “I’m too busy thinking up my next tweet storm right now.”
More information about No More Robots can be found at the official website.
