John Warner, CEO of Over The Moon has created the first in a series of Developer Insight videos, focusing on popular, critically acclaimed games. As John delves into the deeper structure of these titles, he will discuss why he thinks they are so compelling and have resonated with gamers around the world. The first title in the series is about Dark Souls, with its use of environmental storytelling and archetypes. Over The Moon was founded in 2013, to create games with rich, compelling worlds that blend gameplay and narrative, to push our understanding of video games as a medium. This was made possible when, in October of 2013, Industry veteran John Warner completed a successful Kickstarter campaign for Over The Moon’s first game, The Fall, which reached 224% of its funding goal. The Fall released on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One to critical acclaim, winning Best Story from Giant Bomb in 2014.
