Saint Petersburg, Russia (December 8, 2016) – Panoramik Inc. today announced the launch of their brand new Steampunk VR shooter, Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot. Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot is an episodic VR experience that puts players at the helm of the last ship of the Great Mechanical Armada as they wade deep into the territory of the Cargo Cult to pillage the legendary El Dorado. The first three episodes are now available as a bundle for HTC Vive for $15, temporarily discounted to $10.
“We designed Shoot’n’Loot to be as intuitive as possible, while still making full use of the Vive’s functionality,” said Vlad Zhilyaev, CEO of Panoramik Inc.. “This will allow players to fully enjoy the crazy enemies, boss fights and set pieces that they will encounter as they shoot and dodge their way to El Dorado.”
Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot is an episodic Steampunk VR shoot ‘em up in which players take control of the last airship of the Great Mechanical Armada. In order to retrieve the legendary treasure of El Dorado, players will have to venture deep into the hostile lands of the Cargo Cult, a world full of ancient wooden mechanisms and stone golems worshipping them, beautiful palms and deadly homing missiles. Players can expect a highly engaging sky pirate experience, taking them from a tense fight with a giant Doomcopter to fending off hordes of flying Bombers and dodging falling debris in the blink of an eye.
As the inhabitants of Cargo Cult won’t give up their treasure easily, it is up to players to defeat of them using a wide array of unlockable and upgradeable weapons. Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot gives players have full freedom in choosing their preferred method of destruction, whether they opt for the six-barreled bronze machine gun, the high damage steam rocket launcher, or the shotgun-and-shield combo. As players progress, they will be able to update their fragile schooner into a deadly machine of destruction that carries death, disruption… and tons of FUN!
Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot is out now for HTC Vive at a temporarily discounted $10, after which it will be available for $15. More episodes are currently in the works.
