Press release:
OCTOBER 31.
The West Auckland-based (New Zealand) indie games developer Grinding Gear Games, today announced with great thrill that the ‘Keepers of the Flame’ expansion is now available for their ARPG ‘Path of Exile’.

‘Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame’ offers new content expansion that rekindles the legacy of the Breach in a much more sinister and haunting form.

The update introduces Bloodline Ascendancy Classes, Asynchronous Trade, new Uber Pinnacle Bosses, and a host of quality-of-life improvements, alongside the all-new league brimming with horrors and 40 new challenges.

Key highlights of the Keepers of the Flame content update include:

Rekindling the Breach: In Keepers of the Flame, players will encounter Ailith, founder of a secret monastic order sworn to contain the Breachlords, which are otherworldly entities clawing through the cracks between worlds. They are part of the new sequel league, which brings back the chaos of the Breach – that is now reimagined with new mechanics, unstable rifts, and terrifying bosses like Vruun, Marshal of Xesht.

Acquire Monstrous Power with the Genesis Tree: Within the Monastery of Keepers lies the Genesis Tree, a grotesque device of creation that yields new resources and Grafts – living augmentations fused into flesh that grant new abilities. These can evolve further through Foulborn currency, twisting power into unholy, powerful monstrosities.

Unearth New Powers: Harness new Skill and Support Gems such as Kinetic Rain, a volatile wand attack, and Living Lightning Support, which summons sentient sparks that leap between foes. Meanwhile, Bloodline Ascendancy Classes allow players to absorb the power of fallen bosses that offer countless possible combinations for devastating and interesting builds.

Face Zana’s Torment: The expansion also adds three new Uber Incarnation Bosses, each born from Zana’s despair, offering high-end encounters for players craving a challenge. Powerful rewards await the bold.

Asynchronous Trade Arrives: The long-awaited Asynchronous Trade system debuts, allowing instant item transactions even while offline. From Act 6 onwards, Faustus will manage all trade requests and the Currency Exchange.

Challenge, Collect, and Conquer: The Keepers Challenge League features 40 new trials with exclusive rewards, including the Keeper of the Flame Armour Set. Two new Supporter Packs, Champion of Theopolis and Verdant Magus, are also available, each offering exclusive cosmetic effects and bonus content.

Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame is free to play on PC, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games. For more details, refer to the following:
