Madrid, November 19th, 2019. Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain) is pleased to unveil the 12 nominees for the a title=”Playstation Talents Awards homepage” href=”https://www.playstationtalents.es/premios-ps” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>VI PlayStation Talents Awards which will compete for this year.

The winner will get a €10.000 prize to fund its game, plus access to PS4 development kits, and the chance of developìng the game within the PlayStation Talents Games Camp incubator — as well as being published on PlayStation 4 when it’s ready.

The jury that will choose this year’s winners will consist of key figures of the Spanish video games industry, including developers, artists, and journalists.

Besides the Best Game of the Year Award, the finalists will compete for some other categories acknowledging other important aspects of every game.

On top of the Best Innovation and Best Art categories, for the first time the PlayStation Talents Awards will recognize the Best Narrative, a prize that will value the narrative method, the plot’s originality and how complex is the universe the game depicts.

Finally, some of the most important Spanish game critics will honor their favorite one with the Press Award.

This year, nominees will also have the chance to win the Dreams Special Award, funded with 3.000 euros, for the game that better uses the creative side of the video game, and the PlayStation Commitment Special Award which will highlight a game with a social perspective in order to recognize that video games play a role transmitting culture and values.

Shahid Ahmad will be one of the jury members in charge of selecting the best titles of the year.

Clid the Snail, from Weird Beluga Studio
Fifo’s Night, from Flamingo Games
Guayota, from Team Occlusion
Imvisible, from Mirror Age
Inner Ashes, from Calathea Game Studio
Inner Path, from O Works
The Paperman, from Proto1Studios
Tiki Adventures, from Golden Coconut Studios
Twaliens, from Blue Glitch Studio

The PlayStation Talents Awards were first held in 2014 and, since then, four awarded games have been published for PlayStation consoles.

The last winner, A Tale of Paper, is a platformer adventure game where its main character is a paper figure that can adapt its shape to overcome obstacles and fulfill its creator’s dream.

A Tale of Paper is being developed at the PlayStation Talents Games Camp in Barcelona.
