Paris, France – June 26, 2026 – Arc System Works Co., Ltd. is pleased to unveil its latest title, first revealed during the Arc Showcase: Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, a tactical RPG coming to PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Steam®, and the Epic Games Store. The game will launch worldwide on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Synopsis

The story takes place in a monster-infested Tokyo, where supernatural phenomena and mysterious entities wreak havoc. Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow follows Soma Hoshigami, a young delivery driver who is attacked by a supernatural creature and transformed into a hybrid being—half human, half monster. He is subsequently taken in as a “lost property” case by Rena Hizuki, an investigator with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Anomalies Division.

Featuring a unique combat system where timing is everything, players investigate supernatural incidents across the city while facing formidable foes. By adapting their abilities to match enemy skills, they can unleash devastating counters and use tactical slow motion to anticipate attacks and turn the tide of battle.

Meet the Protagonists

◆ Rena Hizuki, (Female, 28)

Voice : Ikumi Hasegawa

An investigator with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Security Bureau, Foreign Affairs Division 5, Second Anomaly Investigation Unit.

Her Stigma extends across her entire body, centered around her chest, and grants her a Demonic Eye capable of seeing her own future.

She wields an unnamed cursed ceremonial blade acquired from an antique market in China, which serves as her key weapon.

Possessing a limited ability to manipulate space, Rena defeats Aberrations not by cutting them down, but through the power of separation itself.

◆Soma Hoshigami, (Male, 20)

Voice : Itsuki Tousei

After being recovered by Rena, Soma is officially classified as a “lost property” item by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Public Security Bureau, Foreign Affairs Division 5, Second Anomaly Investigation Unit.

Since he had already undergone a partial transformation before being found, he is no longer treated as human for administrative convenience.

His Stigma manifests across his lower abdomen and both arms. A mutant in a state of partial transformation toward Level One, Soma unconsciously distorts the surrounding space.

His mutation allows him to attack by manifesting conceptual “fangs and jaws” through his punches and kicks.

In addition to its digital release, Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow will launch physically on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 across Europe on September 24.

The game will be available in both Standard and Deluxe Editions, rated PEGI 16.

Distributed by Meridiem, the Standard Edition will be available through select retailers from launch day.

Available exclusively through the official Red Art Games online store, the Deluxe Edition will be limited to 500 copies per platform. Pre-orders have openned since June 25 at 5:00 PM CEST.
