Press release:
Frankfurt, Germany, 09.04.2016 – Last year Rumpus Animation released their first game – The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle – A Dreadly Business. A classic point and click romp around Victorian London which soon became a cult classic. Albeit a very small, secretive cult that hardly anyone has heard of.
Now, after a brief hiatus and successful Kickstarter campaign, Rumpus Animation are proud to announce the upcoming release of Episode 2 of The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle – A Bleaker Predicklement. A new and exciting installment of the dark humoured murder mystery series for iOS, Android and PC. Oh and hey ya!
In the first episode Geoff the Murderer slipped through Bertram’s fingers. Since then his reign of terror seemed to have ended so that the odd-nosed citizens of Old London Town could wheeze a sigh of relief. But now the sinister goings on have begun again and the dark, smog-filled streets and alleyways are once more gripped in with fear.
In Episode 2 – A Bleaker Predicklement, Bertram has been forced to take a job at Dulsworth’s Soap Factory but soon finds himself embroiled in mystery and is framed for a murdering he did not commit. Will he be able to escape prison? Can he dress up as a lady, escape to the countryside, defeat an unspeakable foe, return to London with the aid of a stuffed Dolphin, track down Geoff the Murderer and finally get one over on Sherlock Holmes?
This hilarious AND mysterious game is more perplexing, more puzzlier and even punnier than the first. A true adventure game in the finest tradition of the genre. Why, people are already begging for the remastered version to be released now.
The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle is a high quality production created by a small indie team based in Bristol, UK. Weaving together years of experience in making animation, the love of a good story and undeniably bad dad-jokes and now with actual experience of making games Rumpus are striving to make this the best point and click Adventure game ever.
In collaboration with German game developer Deck 13, creators of award winning Lords of the Fallen, Bertram Fiddle will be released in November 2016 on Steam and iOS.
