The Shanghai-based (China) indie games publisher and developer XD are today very happy and proud to announce that their highly anticipated fantasy tactical JRPG “Sword of Convallaria”, has now been downloaded +5 million times since its release to PC and mobile devices.

Offering players a captivating combination of a sprawling single-player narrative featuring branching storylines and an engaging online mode focused on guild creation and building a fighting force of mercenaries, Sword of Convallaria is a love letter to TRPG hits of the past and features a bombastic soundtrack by Hitoshi Sakimoto, the composer of Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkyria Chronicles.

To celebrate this momentous milestone, XD is hosting a special login reward event from August 9th to August 18th (EDT). Players who log in for a total of 7 days during the campaign period will receive 10 Secret Fates, a valuable in-game resource used to summon powerful characters who’ll join the fight to restore glory to the nation of Iria, as well as random Legendary Weapons.

Sword of Convallaria offers players strategic grid-based combat encounters that demand tactical prowess at every turn whilst telling a player-driven story of political intrigue in the embattled nation of Iria. All of this is depicted in a stunning visual style that blends classic RPG aesthetics with modern graphical enhancements and light-rendering technology.

Alongside this celebration, XD is excited to announce that a major storyline update focusing on the game’s single-player ‘Spiral of Destinies’ mode will arrive in mid-September. This update promises to further deepen the world of Iria and its compelling characters. The ability to switch spoken languages will also be added in the near future, with players being able to choose from Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
