Press release:
MicroProse is proud to announce that Task Force Admiral – Vol.1: American Carrier Battles, the long-awaited 3D command simulation of US Navy carrier operations in 1942, will launch in Early Access on Steam on January 27th.
To mark this milestone, a public demo of Task Force Admiral is available now on Steam, giving players their first opportunity to experience the game’s distinctive approach to carrier warfare and real-time naval command.
Developed with extraordinary dedication to authenticity, Task Force Admiral places players in command of an American carrier task force during the most pivotal year of the Pacific War. This is not a simple wargame nor a traditional flight or naval sim — it is a full 3D, real-time, crisis-management experience that blends deep tactical decision-making, immersive first-person command, and the most meticulously researched WW2 naval assets ever brought to life in a game.
COMMAND HISTORY. LIVE THE DRAMA.
In Task Force Admiral, every scouting report, every radar contact, and every delayed communication matters. Players can command from the claustrophobic, fog-of-war–shrouded flag plot, or shift to a more traditional God’s eye perspective — always with the pressure of real-time events unfolding across hundreds of miles of ocean.
No artificial dice rolls. No arbitrary stats. No magical information. This is command as it was — uncertain, challenging, and exhilarating.
