PlaySide Publishing – in partnership with Fumi Games – has revealed the latest gameplay teaser for the upcoming 1930s noir-fueled, cartoon-inspired FPS – “MOUSE“.

“In a brave, new world, anyone can be whoever they want to be. And nothing says YOU more than a can of healthy spinach! Spike-D Spinach – now with a special, secret ingredient! Kids, remember your five a day!”

Premiering as part of the Triple-i Initiative Showcase, the latest gameplay trailer teases some of the brand-new gameplay mechanics in development, including:

Grappling Hook – Enables attachment to designated points for rapid movement and traversal.

Helicopter – Reduces descent speed and facilitates extended aerial traversal.

PowerUp Spinach – Used to augment and enhance melee gameplay.

Alongside the new gameplay showcase, MOUSE has launched its official Discord server.

Announced in 2023 and set to launch in 2025, MOUSE boasts a unique visual style inspired by the charm of 1930s rubber hose animation, transporting players to a nostalgic era of early cartoons. Players assume the role of a private detective navigating a noir city teeming with mob violence and a host of characters from the criminal underbelly.

Unravel a quest for justice in a city mired in chaos and corruption. Utilize a diverse arsenal of weapons, power-ups, and explosives to thwart corrupt politicians’ takeover ambitions. The game’s playful weaponry, unique health display, and cartoon-inspired enemy behavior add a lighthearted twist to the FPS genre.
