Press release:
Greetings to all our viewers on Planet Piston! Are you ready for a day of child-friendly, ultra-violent steampunk robotic family fun? Cheer on the steam-bot champion of your nation!
Rejoice as it dismantles its opponents in a shower of robotic debris – or despair at its loss when it explodes under the heavy fire of crazy weapons! Feel the vibration of the chest-pounding industrial music! In a nutshell… welcome to Nation Breakers: Steam Arena, the sport of choice of all steam-kind!
Coded Clay Interactive today announces its debut game, the 2D-action-steampunk-destructathon “Nation Breakers: Steam Arena”, to be released on Steam Early Access in Q4 2019.
Nation Breakers is an online multiplayer platform fighting game where you compete in frenetic battles (single player, online, and couch multiplayer) controlling cannon-glass battle bots in increasingly dangerous and dynamic arenas.
Pick your steam-bot! Destroy your enemies! Dismantle your friends! Delicately disassemble your loved ones (wait, just joking – please do not literally do this)!
Although focused on its multiplayer modes (both online and local), it will also include a single player mode for solo practice. In Nation Breakers you fight in insanely fast, single-hit-kill battles where your skills and reflexes make the difference.
The game features ever-flowing and changing arenas, full of hazards and bordered with portals that players can use both defensively and aggressively.
With 3 game modes in the first Early Access version and up to 36 arenas, divided into 3 themes with 12 levels and a unique weapon each, Nation Breakers will offer a huge variety from the very beginning.
You’ll have to learn the particularities of every level, but also to be lightning-fast adapting to their changes! Lob fireworks and sea-mines from a distance, or pummel someone’s face with a weird tongue- battering-ram thing! Every steam-bot is hand-crafted and animated, and all are made of dozens of tiny pieces that will fly to every corner of the arena with every hit.
And prepare to fight to the powerful beat of the industrial soundtrack of the game, a brilliant, chest-hammering score composed by independent musician George Lever (G1 Productions).
KEY FEATURES
– Pick your favorite steam-bot and fight in insanely fast single-hit-kill battles where pure skill makes the difference!
– Practice solo, dominate online, or test your friendships in local coop!
3 themes, each consisting of 12 levels, up to a total of 36 dynamic fighting arenas!
– Race for pickups! Dynamite, Laser, Missiles, shields and more!
– Ever-flowing and hectic arenas, bordered with portals for you to dart your way to safety… or to shoot unaware enemies in the back!
ABOUT CODED CLAY INTERACTIVE
Mid 2018. Zach had just jumped ship from film school to better afford looking after the family. Still yearning for a new creative outlet, he binged on coding tutorials late in the night.
Slowly, a game prototype begun to form. Foolishly proud, Zach reached out for assistance via the engine forums. Luckily, the call was answered by Damien, a local science teacher and fellow father with a few games under his belt and an early prototype of Nation Breakers ready at hand.
It quickly became apparent that both our sons were great friends and that Damien was a FAR better programmer. Meaning that Zach should stick to scribbling, best not he break everything…
What originally started as a “I’ll draw yours, if you code mine.” kind of deal, “Nation Breakers: Steam Arena” became their soul focus and the birth of a fierce creative union that’s shown no sign of slowing down.
As the identity of Coded Clay Interactive manifested, their creative values came to the surface. CCI strives to deliver quality, fun and engaging experiences for all those who spend their valuable time on our games.
