Press release:

March 12, 2026 – Today, during the Future Games Show (FGS) Spring Showcase, Streetlamp Studio pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated “Triple I” project, “SlashZero“. A striking departure from traditional 2D pixel-art entries, SlashZero delivers a high-quality 3D anime-inspired experience set in a sprawling, procedurally generated cyberpunk world.

In SlashZero, players step into the role of a Timehacker trapped in an ever changing time loop – a neon-drenched cityscape. You must find the true reason for the collapse of time, and break into parallel timelines to reset the course of history. By elevating the core tenets of the roguelike genre: unrelenting challenge, narrative depth, and mechanical polish, SlashZero offers a deep, vertical combat system that leverages its 3D environment to create a sense of scale and fluidity rarely seen in the side-scrolling space.

“With SlashZero, we wanted to push the boundaries of the side-scrolling roguelite,” said Jun, Producer at Streetlamp Studio.

“By investing in high-quality 3D animation and in-game performance with a simultaneous PC and console launch, we’re delivering a prestige experience that rewards skill with a visual spectacle.”

Key Features Include:

The “Triple I” Standard: Stunning 3D anime visuals with rich animations that bring the futuristic world and its inhabitants to life.

Aerial Charged Side-Scrolling Combat: Master a deep move pool and kinetic abilities that leverage a 3D plane for unparalleled mobility and tactical depth.

Procedural Mastery: A sophisticated generation engine ensures every run through SlashZero offers unique environmental challenges and synergistic power-ups.

Simultaneous Launch: SlashZero is built from the ground up for a “Sim-Ship” release, ensuring performance parity across Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation

Following today’s reveal the developers will share more details regarding gameplay mechanics and narrative depth in the coming weeks and months.

SlashZero is now available for wishlisting on Steam and you can follow @SlashZero on X for the latest updates.
