The Gdynia-based (Poland) indie games developer Event Horizon are today very proud and glad to announce that their adventure/tactical RPG “Dark Envoy”, is now available for PC via Steam.

Players can escape to the lush dangerous world of Jäan and by themselves or with friends in online co-op.

Dark Envoy offers long-time fans of classic RPGs, and those new to the genre, a fresh world to explore with a party of relic hunters. After a chain of seemingly unrelated tragedies, siblings Kaela and Malakai set out on a mission to pursue the truth and face off with their newfound destiny. The story will lead you through four action-packed acts in which you will be able to steer the plot according to your choices. They will impact the world, the path you take, as well as the final outcome of your journey.

Our overarching goal was to craft an innovative, ‘sandboxy’ RPG experience where players are encouraged to be creative and experiment, forging unique and overpowered combinations. As an independent team, it’s been a challenging but fulfilling journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch the game today.”

KEY FEATURES:

Control the battlefield, use the terrain to your advantage, and decide your tactic to defeat a range of nefarious foes.

Meet intriguing companions ready to lend their blades to your cause, though be warned some join only depending on the choices you make during your game.

Hand-drawn spells like the Engineer’s Shocking Ground or Warrior’s High Wall can be “painted” and allow you to add a special flair to your magical attacks.

Embark across rich and lore-filled locations encountering various enemies and daunting bosses.

Craft and enchant items and weapons to give you the edge in combat.

Research various technological or magical paths further to increase the capabilities or power of your party.

Main content takes about 20 hours of gameplay time, optional content adds another 15 hours.

To conquer the ‘Insane’ difficulty, players need to think outside the box and exploit the game’s mechanics to their limits.

‘Story’ mode is for players who prefer to immerse themselves in the narrative through a ‘show, not tell’ approach, focusing solely on the unfolding story.

Co-op mode enables a friend to seamlessly join the host’s campaign at any point and assume control of any of the host’s characters, allowing both players to experience the story and combat together.
