SEATTLE — September 21, 2021.
The US-based indie games publisher and game developer Paddle Creek Games today announced with great pride and excitement that their apocalypse-themed open-world survival game “Fractured Veil” is now fully funded via Kickstarter. as the game has met its initial Kickstarter funding goal of 100,000 USD, with 16 days remaining in the campaign.

After six years of development from a core team committed to creating the most engrossing survival game possible, Fractured Veil will launch on Steam Early Access in Q2 2022.

Join up to 500 concurrent survivors on the once-beautiful landscapes of Maui, Hawaii, now riddled with horrifying mutants, ravenous animals, and other humans vying to stay alive. Travel alone or make alliances before heading deep into the heart of Maui. Build and fortify a base to keep out unwanted visitors. Gather resources to craft upgrades, themed weapons like spearguns, and prepare for an exciting mix of PvP and PvE content.

In addition to core survival game mechanics, Fractured Veil also features a robust questing experience and RPG-like skill progression system. NPC outposts and points of interest across the map feature missions that provide experience points for upgrades and story beats. Specialize in a variety of abilities to create a custom survivor capable of overcoming the legions of mutants—and not-so-friendly survivors—that call Maui home.

Scour the map for PvE-focused dungeons that hold untold riches and invaluable resources. Dive into abandoned mines, dank sewers, and more for a chance to bring back top-tier loot – but beware, dungeons are infested with mutant hordes and powerful bosses that require serious firepower to take down. Risk it all on dungeon runs, but with AI-controlled drones watching the action and streaming it out for audiences around the globe, there’s no telling who might come to counter a dungeon run.

Multi-server support for hundreds of concurrent survivors
Server-hopping travel for resource collection and exploration
NPC and survivor-run settlements

Fractured Veil’s $100,000 funding secures ongoing development for the project with a targeted Early Access launch in Q2 2022. Additional funding will target Stretch Goals, to be revealed shortly.
