Press release:
03 FEB 2021.
Indie game developer Lo-Fi People is delighted to announce a release date of 10th March for their audio-based comedy thriller, “Blind Drive” (for PC via Steam, and mobile to iOS and Android). To celebrate, a brand-new demo will be available to download during the Steam Game Festival from today.
Described by Mashable as “Virtual Reality for your ears.”, Blind Drive is a driving game with a twist – players will need to navigate busy highways and roads using just their hearing for reference. But with erratic drivers, bicyclists and a surprising number of ice cream vans on the road, it’s not going to be easy.
In Blind Drive, players take control of a kidnapped driver who has been blindfolded, chained to his steering wheel and told to drive by a mysterious voice on the phone. Oh, and they’ve taken your grandma hostage.
Relying on hearing, instincts and reflexes alone, players will need to drive against the traffic and make it to safety, while a hilarious B-movie crime-comedy story plays out around them.
Previously chosen for inclusion in several prestigious gaming events, such as EGX’s Leftfield Collection, A MAZE Festival and Fantastic Arcade, Blind Drive has made a huge impact on show attendees everywhere.
To celebrate the announcement of Blind Drive’s release date, Lo-Fi People will be making a special demo available during the Steam Game Festival which begins today.
Blind Drive releases March 10th on Steam, iOS and Android. Players are able to wishlist the game now to be informed upon its release.
