Developers Vladimir Fedyushkin and Nicolai Danielsen of development studio Code Wakers and publisher Armor Games Studios, are today very delighted and happy to announce that they have just released the brand-new and free “Arcade Mode” update for their arcade dog-fighting game “Jet Lancer” to the Nintendo Switch.

The release of the brand-new update coincides with a special 34% off sale on the Switch eShop to celebrate Black Friday.

Following a successful launch on PC, Code Wakers are excited to finally reveal the extensive free update for Nintendo’s console. Inspired by the most-requested features from the community as well as taking inspiration from rogue-lite games, Jet Lancer’s new Arcade Mode takes the frantic dog-fighting fans have become accustomed to and blends it with endless, wave-based gameplay.

Players will strap in to survive endless waves of enemies, deadly multi-boss battles, and stretch three lives to the limit as their Jet Lancer skills are put on the line for the ultimate bragging rights.

Arcade Mode unlocks for all players through playing the main story campaign, after completing OP 21: Airshow.

Vladimir Fedyushkin, Lead Designer at Code Wakers added, “Tweaking Jet Lancer’s formula to utilize existing mechanics in a new way is an avenue I really wanted to explore, and Arcade Mode is a perfect way to do it.”

The update will include:

An endless wave-based score-attack mode.
Unique, stacking upgrades, making each run one-of-a-kind. The longer you survive, the more powerful you become.
Multi-boss battles – fight multiple bosses from the story mode at the same time.
Three new pilots with unique jets and handling.
New Progressions system to unlock additional pilots and their jets
Three new primary weapons
Flamethrower: Immense repeatable damage at very close range.
Railgun: Instantaneous precision shots.
Coil Gun: Chain lightning between grouped enemies.

In addition to the free update for all players, Jet Lancer will be on sale on the Switch eShop from tomorrow, with a giant 34% discount to celebrate Black Friday. This brings the price of the game down to $9.89 / €9.89 / £8.90

Jet Lancer’s Arcade Mode is available as a free update on Nintendo Switch from tomorrow, November 26th.
