Press release:
Indie dev Aran Koning (one part of Dutch indie collective Sokpop, the team behind Stacklands, Grail and Grunn) has announced the release date for his mega viral asymmetrical co-op horror comedy ‘RAT GAME’.
Rat Game blew up big time when Aran announced it earlier this year, with 5M views on Twitter alone. You play either a pack of rats trying to sabotage a restaurant, or the Chef determined to stop them.1 Chef vs 2-8 Rat. (Or, one robo Chef vs 2-8 rat. Aran has added a robot chef. It’s really scary.)
Rat Game will launch on PC on October 30th. You can check out the release date announcement trailer below.
About the game
Chef has been trying to exterminate the rats, leaving them no choice but to ruin his restaurant. Let the battle begin!
The Rats work as a team, nibbling through wires, clogging toilets, hacking the staff computer, and doing anything they can to get the place shut down. The Chef tries to exterminate them, listening for the tell-tale sound of scrabbling claws so he can catch them with his bare hands and chuck them in a cage. Their battleground is The Restaurant, a warren full of shortcuts and hidden scurryways. There may be an actual gun somewhere in the mix. Don’t worry about it.
Rat Game is an asymmetrical comedy horror with dynamic sound design, a detailed map, and squeaky proximity chat. Last one standing wins!
