The Lahore-based (Pakistan) indie games publisher Ashen Studios and indie games developer Shadow Owl Studios, are today very proud and glad to announce that their atmospheric horror exploration game “Liminalcore“, is coming to Steam this Fall (2024).

LiminalCore is a captivating game inspired by “Liminal Spaces,” “Backrooms,” and “Found Footage” aesthetics. It immerses you in eerie, surreal environments where the familiar becomes unsettling and the mundane turns mysterious.

The game features no UI or jumpscares, relying instead on sound and phobias to create an unexplainable world where you can explore freely, discover hidden paths, and choose your own routes.

You can toggle a VHS filter on or off and navigate various locations and increasingly eerie levels. As you progress, you’ll encounter deeper lore and be encouraged to explore and develop your own theories about the game’s design.
