In the dream, there is nothing; it feels as if there’s only you in the entire world…

Alright, but what happened next in the dream? Well, a mysterious girl appeared. She told you the story of Dream Echo, a story where everyone’s dreams are interwoven.

You woke up, half in disbelief, with a vague memory of this event. From then on, every time you fall asleep, you find yourself in that dream home, and there she is, waiting for you, ready for you both to embark on adventures in the world of Dream Echo.

Dream Echo is an atypical top-down roguelite ARPG centered on loot grinding and meta-progression. Explore the dream world, collect “Concepts”, and enjoy highly versatile combat mechanics. And upon waking, gather “Memories” to carry some “Concepts” on into your next adventure.

Unlimited combinations of Novelties

Dream Echo was created by passionate Path of Exile fans who wanted to bring that same theory-crafting depth into a more approachable roguelite format. There are no specific skill upgrades or fixed combinations here. Instead, all skills are based on fundamental logic, and all Concepts are modular blocks – like skill gems – that can be combined freely. Want to turn a fireball into a shotgun spread? Add a Chain modifier to make it arc between enemies? The choice is entirely yours. How you play is entirely up to you.

Remember your dreams when you wake up

After every run, upon waking from a dream, you can obtain Memories by recording your dreams. This allows you to solidify certain concepts, enabling them to take shape quickly during your next venture into Dreams. You can also decorate and refine your Memories in your Home, combining them to create more powerful Concepts. Even after you leave the game, your character will continue to acquire various Memories from “reality” which you’ll be able to exchange with your Steam friends.

Share your dream world with others

You can easily create a class list using the Dream Wish List to craft a build that is uniquely yours and then share it with other players with a single click. If others use your Wish List and leave positive feedback, you can earn additional rewards.

Dream Echo was developed by HotWaterStudio, three developers based in China. The game is now available on Steam.
