Press release:
6th June 2019 – Team17, a global games label, creative partner and developer of independent, premium video games and independent developer Black Matter is today launching the hotly anticipated authentic WWII shooter Hell Let Loose into Steam Early Access.

Offering 50 vs. 50 tactical battles, Hell Let Loose puts you in the chaos of war, complete with player-controlled vehicles, a dynamically evolving front line, and unit-focused gameplay that commands the tide of battle.

Featuring sweeping maps modelled on real reconnaissance images and satellite data, the entire battlefield is divided up into large capture sectors – allowing for emergent and constantly unique gameplay in a fight to the death across fields, bridges, forests and towns on an ever-evolving front line.

Hell Let Loose features:
– 50 vs 50 multiplayer across huge to-scale maps from real battle locations
– 14 unique playable roles within infantry, recon and armour unit types, each equipped with different weapons, vehicles and equipment
– Play the game as the Commander and lead your team to victory using different abilities as you orchestrate your forces via the tactical map
– Bombard and wipe the enemy from the field by taking control of heavy weapons – such as anti-tank guns and artillery
– Authentic period arsenal, with accurate weapon behaviour
– Use teamwork to smash through the enemy front line and push through to victory

Hell Let Loose is a labour of love by Black Matter, a small development team based in the UK, New Zealand, Russia and the United States and has been in development since 2016.

The game completed a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and, following a series of closed betas, launches into Steam Early Access today.

“I began Hell Let Loose as a tiny hobby project back in late 2014, when World War Two games were very much in drought. We wanted to create a game that mixed the intensity of frontline combat with the depth and strategy of more realistic team-oriented shooters.

From there Hell Let Loose has gone on to become the sole focus and passion of our team of 10.” said Maximillian Rea, co-founder, Black Matter

“Today is a big day for us and whether you’re a newcomer or one of the grizzled veterans who discovered us during our Kickstarter campaign in 2017, we’re really excited to continue this journey with you”

Hell Let Loose aims to be in Early Access for approximately 12 months, and during that time there is a robust series of free content updates planned alongside continuous hot fixes and patches.

The target is to have significant content updates every 6-8 weeks with hotfixes and patches in between.

The development team will be taking feedback from the community as they look to prioritise updates throughout the year.

The 1st major content drop will be in July and feature a whole new map – Utah Beach – and other new features. A roadmap demonstrating current Early Access plans has been released today alongside the launch.

There will be further details of each content update as the team continues to work on the game throughout Early Access.

Hell Let Loose is available in Steam Early Access today for £24.99/29,99€/$29.99.
