Press release:
The Sweden-based indie games developer/publisher You Will Get There (which consists of David Söderström, Mikaela Marti, and Evelyn Petterson) are today very pleased and thrilled to announce that their beautiful hand-painted action platformer “Somber” is coming to PC via Steam 2022.
Taking place in the semi-open world of Gloom, Somber is a hand-painted action platformer filled with stunning locales and terrifying encounters.
OUT OF THE SHADOWS
What would happen if Tim Burton developed LIMBO but added in the gameplay mechanics found in the Ori series? You’d get Somber! In this action platformer, players take on the role of a friendly but deadly creature whose mission is to help anyone in need and make things right. But in order to do any of that, our protagonist will first have to roll, bounce, and climb his way out of the dimly lit world of Gloom … and somehow live to tell the tale.
DEVELOPER QUOTE
“When we first started working on Somber, our goal was to create a lush, living world filled with amazing little details and interesting gameplay. As you’d expect, we’re knee-deep in development right now and enjoying every second of it. We can’t wait to show the world the dread-filled beauty of Somber in 2022!”
– David Söderström (Lead Developer, You Will Get There)
