TOKYO – Sept. 4, 2019 – “Azure Reflections“, the vibrant, side-scrolling bullet hell from Sony publishing label Sony Music Entertainment (Japan)’s publishing label UNTIES and developer Souvenir Circ., will defend Steam from evil on Sept. 19. An additional mode including two new bosses will come to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 simultaneously.

Boss Rush mode pits the defenders of the mystical realm of Gensokyo against its most powerful threats in rapid succession to compete for the best time. Conquer all the bosses from the campaign plus two new challenging fights against the main playable characters, Reimu and Marisa.

Fly through the vivid and unsettled world of Gensokyo, blasting away the evil minions pouring out of Scarlet Devil Manor. Take on the role of priestess Reimu, ice fairy Cirno or magician Marisa, each with her own set of special abilities, and dominate anime-style enemies and adorably deadly bosses. Performance against bosses branches the story down different narrative paths and harder difficulties unlock the best ending.

Upgrade skills and buy stat-boosting accessories including marvelous moustaches, cute cat tails, and stylish headphones. Equip a plethora of items to customize the girls for any playstyle and to place higher in online leaderboards.

Azure Reflections is an fan-made entry in the Touhou Project, a series recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “most prolific fan-made shooter series.”

In more than 20 years of Touhou Project popularity, it has spread to other media including commercial fan books, music, light novels, manga and several fan-made anime in addition to the main series.

Azure Reflections will be available on Steam for the regular price of $24.99 USD. It is currently available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 at the same price.
