Press release:
Varennes, Quebec – October 9, 2026 – Forget playing nice. Hack ’n’ Stack, the chaotic new party game from Quebec-based independent studio Triple Boris and its Dodo Tako publishing label, is officially launching today on Steam (PC/Mac) and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 USD.
Playable with up to four players locally or online, Hack ’n’ Stack puts players in charge of gathering resources, building walls and turrets, and defending their installations against increasingly dangerous waves of enemies.
Choose from a whacky range of attack and defense options because pretty much everything in the game can become a weapon.
Blocks can be thrown. Stunned enemies can be weaponized. And, when things really get out of hand, your own teammates can become part of the arsenal.
BUILD A FORTRESS. DEFEND IT. THEN THROW YOUR FRIENDS AT THE ENEMY.
At its core, Hack ’n’ Stack blends tower defense with a fully physics-driven playground where cooperation can quickly descend into chaos.
Players must work together to gather resources and build defenses before enemy waves arrive — but with so many objects at their disposal, there’s always an opportunity to improvise.
Sometimes the smartest strategy is also the dumbest one: throw everything you have at the problem and hope for the best.

BUILT WITH THE COMMUNITY
Before launch, Hack ’n’ Stack was available as a free demo during Steam Next Fest, giving thousands of players an early opportunity to experience the game.
Player feedback gathered during the event directly influenced the final adjustments made to the game ahead of launch.
“In an industry where player expectations are constantly evolving, our ability to stay agile is essential. Feedback from our community plays a key role in the development of our games,” said Simon Dansereau, Co-Founder and CEO of Triple Boris.
Hack ’n’ Stack is available now on Steam and Nintendo Switch in more than 10 languages for $19.99 USD.
