Does it smell like bacon in here or is it just me?! The classic “Hogs of War” game, “S.W.I.N.E.“, is getting an HD remaster and heading to Steam in Spring 2019!

Press release:
Today, Assemble Entertainment has announced that they are teaming up with Kite Games and taking over the publishing rights for S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster — a brand-new, highly polished version of the classic real-time strategy game S.W.I.N.E. — originally released in 2001 and developed by StormRegion.

Developer Kite Games — the team behind Sudden Strike 4 — have worked with fans to extensively modernize the game to bring big, beautiful bunny-blasting, pig-punching battles to PC.

Slated for a Q2 2019 release, S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster will be available on Steam, as well as other unannounced digital storefronts.

In S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster, players may either lead the brutally bloodthirsty pigs to barbaric victory or carefully guide the peaceful rabbits to glorious triumph! Re-experience the truly unique strategy game that defined the childhood of many players in the golden age of gaming.

More about S.W.I.N.E HD Remaster:

On July 26, the Republic of the Pigs was overthrown by General Iron Tusk. After dealing with the remaining Republican loyalist forces in his territory, Tusk turned his attention to the neighboring nation of Carrotland, home of the Rabbits.

The Rabbits worked out their strategy, too; and now the two species need to find a capable officer who can lead their operations.

This funny strategy war game, which was first released in 2001, focuses on the strategic aspect of the battle. You don’t have to construct buildings or collect resources.

Instead, you just need to capitalize on the strategy points and use them to expand and develop your animal army.

Key features of S.W.I.N.E HD Remaster include:

Remastered graphics: S.W.I.N.E HD Remaster boasts a redesigned interface adjusted to 16:9 aspect ratio, along with detailed unit texture. Extended graphics settings are available: anti-aliasing, v-sync, screen selection, and full-screen mode.

Improved game experience: Tons of bug fixes, extended zoom, improved unit ordering, and plenty of other updates bring the game into the modern age.

Multiplayer is back: Travel back to the good old days with your friends and play this unique landmark of a game either online or on LAN.

Developed by Kite Games and published by Assemble Entertainment, S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster features numerous improvements and visual enhancements, such as an integrated language selection, a polished UI, and improved unit ordering for a smoother gameplay experience.

S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster features the original 2001 S.W.I.N.E. soundtrack, an artbook with previously unreleased concept art, and a developer documentary detailing the process behind the recreation of the beloved classic. For more information, visit https://swinethegame.com/.
