NACON and Appeal Studios are delighted to announce that the co-op action-adventure game “Gangs of Sherwood” will be available on 19 October on PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.

New information about the game has also been shared, including the game’s key art, its new logo and a new gameplay video showing the intensity of its spectacular combat, which can be experienced solo or with up to four players in co-op.

The new gameplay video highlights two playable characters in Gangs of Sherwood: Robin Hood and Friar Tuck. The legendary archer Robin Hood excels at ranged fighting by rapidly firing off volleys of arrows that can levitate in the air before hitting enemies.

As for Friar Tuck, he has a strong and stocky physique, which means he can wield a heavy mace that inflicts significant damage to enemies in close combat while protecting himself with his energy shield. The new gameplay video takes viewers into the game’s early levels where our heroes are being hunted by the Sheriff of Nottingham’s army in the streets of Locksley and are faced with their first powerful boss.

“Gangs of Sherwood” is a co-operative action-adventure game for 1 to 4 players with fast-paced gameplay and high replay value in a reimagined world based on the legend of Robin Hood.

Exploiting the powers of the Philosopher’s Stone, the Sheriff of Nottingham’s armies have built up untold power and are oppressing the people of England more than ever. In a unique science-fantasy version of the Robin Hood legend, the game features explosive combat, spectacular combos, and co-op gameplay for fans of epic battles and challenges in stunning environments.
