The Lesquin-based (France) video games company NACON and Lyon-based (France) indie games developer Passtech Games, are today very happy and pleased to announce that they have just released the “Sun Wukong” update for their co-op roguelite “Ravenswatch” (the said update is available right now for PC via Steam Early Access).

The “Sun Wukong” update gives you (the player) a new playable hero along with a feature that makes it easy to find teammates.

Sun Wukong, the famous Monkey King from Chinese literature, has been added to the list of playable fallen heroes in Ravenswatch. Armed with his legendary staff, the mischievous warrior introduces new game mechanics, such as a stance system and a parrying technique.

A new, highly-anticipated feature also makes its appearance: matchmaking. With just a few clicks, online players can now join forces with partners from around the world, with automatic selection based on the difficulty level chosen.

The difficulty system has also been revised, and now the former Nightmare levels have been grouped into 5 major stages, optimising waiting time for players using the new matchmaking system.
In addition to all these new features, the way enemies and challenges adapt to the number of players has been balanced out, and, following close cooperation between the studio and the player community, various corrections have been made.

Finally, Ravenswatch is available at a 10% discount on Steam until 21 November; a dream chance to join Sun Wukong in his battle against the Nightmares.

Currently available as an early access PC game, Ravenswatch is a roguelike that can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. It is developed by Passtech Games, who also developed the hit game Curse of the Dead Gods. The current version of Ravenswatch has eight playable heroes and the first two chapters of the adventure, but it will be updated regularly with a new hero and a third chapter added before its official release in 2024 on PC, PlayStation®4, Xbox, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch™.
