The Rhode Island-based (the US) indie games developer OrionGames are today very happy and excited to announce that their colorful hack-and-slash ARPG “Arto” is coming to Kickstarter on February 7th, 2023.

Arto is a fast-paced journey into a desolate, desaturated world that you bring back to life with every step you take. Arm yourself with a diverse arsenal of unlockable and upgradeable weapons and spells, as well as the magical ability to shoot paint beams.

Unravel the world’s mysteries by interacting with many original characters and exploring a sprawling, branching narrative with multiple endings. Each biome in this world introduces unique themes, playstyles, and creatures: from insect swarms, demons, and ghosts to dreamlike places as you avoid deadly tornadoes.

Currently, a downloadable Demo Version of the game is available on Steam. This Kickstarter campaign will help the developer fund the production costs for Arto.

OrionGames was founded in 2019 and has since grown to be an 8-person team. Its first title, Arto, is a combat-filled trek through six different art styles in which the player colors them in, as they uncover the history of this broken world, their place in it, and fight for its fate, using a variety of upgradeable weapons and spells they’ve crafted.
