The indie games developer Alvios Games are today very happy and excited to announce that their cooperative action roguelike “Vellum“, is now available for PC via Steam Early Access.

Author your legend in “Vellum”, a PvE cooperative action roguelike where players must choose how their foes grow in power as they journey through magical tomes. Now available on Steam Early Access, carve through the dreaded Torn as fabled Scribes and defend the renowned stories of the Illuminated Library.

Become a fabled Scribe and harness the power of magical inks in order to repel waves of the dreadful monochromatic Torn. Vellum is a cooperative action roguelike featuring seamless drop in/drop out co-op, so Scribes will be able to invoke majestic powers as a team to enhance their individual builds through the mystical Font and over 300 Pages of Power. With hundreds of build-making combos to uncover, each rapid page-turning run will feel fresh and evoke satisfaction through both challenge and discovery.

Vellum delivers a unique spin on the action roguelike formula as players must choose the powers granted to their enemies throughout each run. With over 100 Torn Pages to choose from, strategy and critical thinking is vital when considering how to best out-maneuver the Torn, and in turn, the rewarding dangers beyond. But tread lightly, as Torn Pages stack and the boss at the end of each run will benefit from all of the chosen upgrades. Vellum also features a pulse-pounding heat system where players can modify their runs for greater challenge. Flood the lands with lava, combat treacherous storms, escape ravenous zombies, and fight amidst dense fog. Conquer the Torn with these overwhelming conditions and players will be handsomely rewarded.

Vellum is now available in Early Access on Steam for $19.99. Scribes who delve into the Tomes early can take advantage of a 10% launch discount for a limited time. Early Access simply marks the opening chapters of a great novel. Partake in feedback sessions with the developers by joining the official Vellum Discord server and help shape the following chapters.
