February 19th, 2026 – London, UK – Super Rare Originals and developer Inresin are excited to announce that the anticipated cosy exploration game Gecko Gods will release 16th April on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5!

Gecko Gods announced this news alongside a new trailer at the Convergence Showcase today.

Explore a forgotten land as a cute gecko in a large open world! Collect bugs and mysterious relics as you discover new mysteries in this lovingly crafted world. Across multiple islands you will explore varied environments and temples as you solve puzzles at your own pace.

Explore Freely: Scale walls, ceilings and cliffs with the gecko’s effortless agility. Climb to the highest peaks or the deepest caves as you play with near unlimited freedom of movement.
A Gecko-Sized Journey: Experience a world designed for curiosity and gentle adventure, where movement itself is part of the joy. Enjoy the pitter-patter of the gecko’s little feet on the sand or the gentle sound of the waves as you sail through the ocean.
Solve Ancient Puzzles: Delve into ruins and temples filled with environmental challenges. Solve puzzles to unlock the secrets of each island and get hints from the critters you meet along the way.
Sail Between Islands: Drift across tranquil seas to discover unique landscapes, each with its own atmosphere and hidden life.

A BIG JOURNEY FOR A LITTLE GECKO

Set sail in a serene puzzle-adventure platformer where you explore a forgotten archipelago through the eyes of a small but mighty gecko!

Climb across sunlit ruins, weave your way through mysterious caves, and uncover the remnants of an ancient civilisation at your own pace. The world invites discovery with every ledge, crevice and hidden path where you can go at your own pace. Once you get your own gecko-sized boat, each island brings new discoveries, puzzles, and secrets.

Use that useful gecko tongue of yours to gobble up wandering insects and critters along your journey! With each new species you encounter, you can add them to your gourmet collection by eating them up. Can you catch them all and complete the set?
