The tiny indie games studio Mimmox are today very thrilled and happy to announce that their cozy 3D food puzzle game ‘UMAMI’, is now avaible for PC via Steam.

Designed to be a relaxed experience, the game is now serving up wholesome vibes and delectable dioramas.

Enter the UMAMI recipe book and help cuddly animal chefs such as “Chef Bumblebake” and “Chef Sushiba” complete dishes of international cuisine. Across 15 hand-painted levels, you’ll tinker, toy, and rotate wooden blocks, attaching them to a board to create meals including towers of fluffy pancakes, gravity-defying burgers, freshly prepared onigiri, and even seasonal sweets for holidays such as Halloween and Christmas.

This laidback puzzle game is designed to relax and its puzzles have no timers, no pressure and no wrong move warnings. Instead, you’re encouraged to play and explore, as behind their layers of sugar and spice, levels feature hidden animals to pet and cards to collect.

Key Features of UMAMI

Looking Good Enough to Eat: Each of the game’s 15 dioramas is hand-painted and has been lovingly crafted by the team’s five artists, including experts in hand-painted textures, environment modelling, and detailed illustrations.

The Secret Ingredient is Love: A love for cozy and cute experiences, that is. This is a game that allows players to relax, unwind, and escape into a whimsical and welcoming world of foodstuffs.

Tinker, Baker, Gourmet, Pie: From tantalizing breakfast dishes and gourmet lunches, to lavish burgers and towers of pastries, the puzzles feature a range of foods to satisfy every taste.

UMAMI is out now on Windows PC and Linux via Steam. The game is also Steam Deck compatible. Priced at $13.99 USD, £11.99 GBP, €13,99 EUR with a % launch discount.
