Press release:
MONTREAL, Quebec – Sept. 14, 2023.
The Madrid-based (Spain) indie games publisher Freedom Games and Montréal-based (Québec, Canada) indie games developer MadLife Divertissement, today announced with great delight and thrill that their cozy maple syrup management sim “Sugar Shack“, is now available for PC via Steam.

Step into an enchanting world where the magic of early spring meets the sweetness of Québec’s rich folklore. Nestled in the heart of this picturesque scene is the Sugar Shack, home to syrupy goodness and endless possibilities. Discover a perfect blend of farming, harvesting, cooking, serving, and world-building, all while enjoying the added delight of cooperative gameplay for 1-4 sweet-toothed entrepreneurs.

Fire up the oven, plow the field, tap maple trees, and breathe life back into the land surrounding this beloved little haven. Engage in the delightful cycle of harvesting, cooking and serving to satisfy customers and brighten their day. Improve the reputation of the Sugar Shack by selling produce, baking home-made products and helping create a tranquil sense of community.

Customize a hand-crafted landscape with a clear vision and hex tiles. Place structures, design hiking paths, and control resource production, even shaping the flow of rivers. Every tile helps uncover fresh quests, resources, and boundless opportunities. In Sugar Shack, no two worlds are alike, leaving room for endless creativity and exploration.

“It’s time to tap some maple and build a welcoming world in Sugar Shack,” said Benjamin Tarsa, Director of Publishing, Freedom Games.

“The only limitations are how far one’s imagination can stretch, and this Quebecian wonderland just needs a kind hand and helpful community to blossom into a thriving, cozy escape, welcoming all. Come join us on PC now!”

Sugar Shack is available now on PC via Steam, priced at $19.99 with English, French, German and Simplified Chinese language support.
