‘Flame, Forest & Flood’ is coming to Steam this Fall

Poland – 9 June 2026 – Fairy Mount Games, a new independent studio founded by veteran developers with a love for strategy games, original mechanics and accessible design, has announced Flame, Forest & Flood, a cozy three-player strategy game coming to Steam in Fall 2026.

The announcement trailer is available to watch now, offering a first look at the game’s inviting world, and the strategic showdown between the three elementals that is at the heart of every match.

A playable demo of Flame, Forest & Flood will be available during an upcoming Steam Next Fest, giving players the chance to experience its approachable rules, no-randomness strategy and friendly three-way rivalry ahead of launch.

Founded by Denis Comtesse and Blaze Zywiczynski, two long-time developers, Fairy Mount Games is built around a simple philosophy: bold ideas, elegant design, and making games their own way. The studio’s first original title, Flame, Forest & Flood, reflects that approach with an accessible multiplayer cozy strategy experience designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, while still offering meaningful depth for competitive players.

Built around three elemental forces, Flame, Forest and Flood, the game allows players to jump in quickly, understand the rules within minutes, and discover the wealth of tactical possibilities hidden beneath its approachable surface. With no randomness, every outcome is driven by player choice, positioning and strategy.

In Flame, Forest & Flood, players meet three timeless Elementals: Adeer, the spirit of Forest; Herr Mitt, the guardian of Flood; and Blaze, the keeper of Flame. These eternal frenemies are locked in an endless cycle of life, growth and rebirth, with each match unfolding through clever decisions, satisfying tactical turns and sudden comebacks.

Fairy Mount Games brings more than a decade of Godot experience to the project, alongside a commitment to original ideas, open-source tools and handcrafted development. The studio does not use generative AI, reflecting its love for the creative process and the craft behind every part of making a game.

“Flame, Forest & Flood is unlike anything we’ve made in the past. Unlike the rest of the industry that seems hell-bent on rushing forward, we wanted to get back to the basics.” Said Blaze Zywiczynski, CEO of Fairy Mount Games. “We looked to classic board games for inspiration and distilled FFF to the very essence of many strategy games – competition over territory. We managed to marry very simple, unique rules with a surprising amount of tactical depth that can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of their age, gender or game literacy. Every aspect of the game has been handcrafted to be as inviting as possible.”
