The Ostrava-based (Czech Republic) indie games developer Perun Creative today announcedwith great joy and thrill that their dark fantasy action-adventure game “Kromlech“, is now available via Steam.

Kromlech is a love letter to the immersive RPGs of the early 2000s, but with contemporary design ideas and QoL features, while still keeping things distinctly old-school. A game that will allow you to step into a mythical world from the ancient past where steel is still young, sorcery treacherous, and the truth can only be found at the edge of a blade.

Inspired by the cultures of the European Iron Age, predominantly the Celts, as well as the greatest works of the Sword & Sorcery genre, Kromlech seeks to deliver a darker and grittier kind of heroic fantasy.

At the same time, it aims at blending the old with the new, introducing players to its own unique gameplay design solutions, such as the combat system built around enemies’ weak points. The Crisis System, where major events happen every couple of days, resulting in World Scars if the player won’t solve the crisis in time. And finally, allowing gamers to play as a hero who is defined not by his moral virtue, but by the impact of his actions on the world.

Choose Your Path – There are many ways to customize your build and style of play. Inscribe your equipment with powerful incantations, drink mystical brews, cover your body with warpaint, refine your battle feats, sacrifice to the gods, and reach mastery through practice and dedication.
Crush Your Enemies – The combat system offers many ways to deal with your enemies. Exploit their weaknesses with precise strikes or rip their armor to shreds. Pummel them with brute force or skillfully weave through the fray. Let the heat of battle consume you, so you can show your adversaries the meaning of fear.
