‘Verho – Curse of Faces’ is a new take on the popular dark fantasy RPG genre, inspired by the iconic King’s Field. This sinister RPG, filled to the brim with dark mystery and atmospheric storytelling, from Polish studio Kasur Games and publisher CobraTekku Games, launches today on Steam for PC at a price of $19.99/€19.99/ £16.99.

Players take on the role of an unnamed protagonist in the abandoned and gloomy world of Yariv in Verho – Curse of Faces. Revealing one’s face in this desolate world means certain death, so masks have become a central symbol of protection and identity. Each mask symbolizes a distinct class with individual abilities and playstyles, including melee warriors with heavy weapons, agile fighters, and magic-wielding classes with a selection of spells. Players can flexibly live out their class fantasies as they progress through the game and skill in any direction regardless of their starting class.

The gameplay is characterized by a mixture of exploration, tactical combat, and discovering hidden paths. Players move through the mysterious world of Yariv where challenging battles, sinister inhabitants, and a great mystery which needs to be solved await.

Key Features

Mysterious masks and an ominous curse – In a world where showing one’s face leads to certain death, the residents are forced to hide behind unique masks. The protagonist sets off for the land of Yariv to uncover the origins of the deadly curse.

A sinister world and its inhabitants – In addition to the story of the curse, Yariv is full of NPCs who carry their unique circumstances and traumas. Behind a large number of characters lie further quests, mysterious challenges, and unique personalities.

Build variety, melee fighters, and magical abilities – Verho – Curse of Faces offers a wide range of weapons, abilities, and spells that completely alter the gameplay. Players will experience combat in a brand new and unique way with every new playthrough.
