Press release:
Redwood City, CA – February 1, 2023.
Today, Gearbox Publishing and Magic Design Studios announced the launch of a new three-part feature trailer series, “Life in the Afterlife” for “Have a Nice Death“, the darkly charming 2D action roguelike, leaving Early Access and officially launching on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Steam Deck) on March 22 for $24.99.

Right now, mortals can watch the first trailer in the series, “Your First Day as CEO”, that shows how you’ll need to take on the role of the Underworld boss himself, Death, take charge and show everyone who’s the one-and-only boss of Death Incorporated.

Thanks to these mandatory training videos) feature trailers, you’ll be able to learn all you need to know about this delightfully morbid adventure before you hack’n’scythe your way through it.

Prepare to feast your eyes upon part two and three of the “Life in the Afterlife” trailer series in the next few weeks. The “Tour of Death Inc.” trailer launching on February 15, will let you take a carefree and death-free tour of the procedurally generated departments within Death Inc.’s headquarters. Last but certainly not least, on March 1, you can watch the “Tools of the Trade” trailer to be introduced to the delightfully deadly weapons, cloaks, and spells you can have in your arsenal.

ABOUT HAVE A NICE DEATH

Have a Nice Death is a hand-drawn 2D Action Roguelike where gamers will assume the role of Death, Founder and CEO of Death Incorporated, the giant underworld organization responsible for processing souls in the afterlife. As the company’s supreme leader, they will explore the darkly charming, procedurally generated departments of the corporation’s headquarters to round up and rehabilitate rogue employees who have been ignoring company protocol and snatching up far too many souls on Earth.

Getting the department bosses—also known as Sorrows—and their minions under control, however, is a difficult task and will require multiple runs to complete. Luckily, players will have an arsenal of weapons, spells and special skills on hand to get the job done.

Developed by Magic Design Studios, Have a Nice Death is now available on Steam in Early Access for $19.99. Announced during the Nintendo Indie World showcase in November, on March 22, the darkly charming roguelike will leave Early Access and officially launch on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Steam Deck) for $24.99.
