The Canada-based indie games publisher and game developer TypeEh Studios today announced with great delight and excitement that they have just released a massive update for their dragon-themed VR action/adventure sim “DragonRideVR” (the update is available right for PC via Steam, and the update includes the brand-new “RhythmRide” mode).

Slashing and shooting targets to the beat of a large variety of provided songs or custom tracks adds to the game’s numerous other activities, which lets you explore, hunt, shoot and ride on the backs of majestic dragons!

DragonRide VR is now available on Steam and soon for PlayStation VR!

The game has been localised in 11 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish & Latin American Spanish, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

The ultimate fantasy VR experience!

As the name implies, DragonRide VR puts you on the back of a massive dragon and its development is very community driven. Several player ideas have been implemented since the game’s launch and if you have one as well, feel free to share it on the Community Discord!

The game modes available so far let you…

Choose a dragon and explore Volcanic Isles, Frozen Lands, Mystical Valleys and more in one of the Free Fly Modes! Search the skies, ground and even underwater for hidden crytals and secrets.

Challenge yourself in various Ride Game Modes, including Shooting and Timed Laps. Hit the targets with your crossbows and spells to climb the score boards!

Sit down, kick back and enjoy the view while your dragon slowly trots and swims through DragonRide VR’s picturesque world. If you want to give your scaly companion a break, you can also enjoy 360° Panoramic Views from several lookouts.

Choose one of the 25 songs and swing your weapons to musical beats in RhythmRide! Featuring five difficulties and flight patterns with an expanding selection of tracks, this mode is the centerpiece of the most recent update.
