Press release:
Munich, Germany, August 25th, 2025 – The End of Allegoria by Button Factory Games and CobraTekku Games (CTG) have just announced the game’s development. Starting tomorrow, visitors of gamescom in Cologne, Germany will be among the first to experience the game. The End of Allegoria is the sequel to The Edge of Allegoria, that edgy Canadian JRPG with the GameBoy aesthetic that was definitely not for the faint of heart. Scheduled for release in 2027, the sequel will bring a nostalgic JRPG experience to PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

The End of Allegoria takes place many years after the events of the first game. After decades of stability and peace, the Wasteland deity plunged the world into chaos. Humanity’s sudden awakening to supernatural abilities had an immediate impact on the inhabitants of Allegoria. This led the vengeful majority of society to descend into anarchy, deliberately spreading violence and destruction. In The End of Allegoria, players follow the journeys of several characters as they fight their way through the world’s increasingly apocalyptic conditions and, hopefully, avert the end of Allegoria.

Key Features:

Ready for another adventure? – The End of Allegoria introduces a tactical RPG system to this apocalyptic role-playing world filled with monsters and magic.

The darkest times are upon us! – Successor to The Edge of Allegoria, The End of Allegoria is a grim sequel set in the same world, filled with anarchy and destruction.

The fate of Allegoria… – The world of Allegoria is vibrant and offers plenty to discover, including secrets, dungeons, and even teammates. The ever-changing environment also means there’s always something new to experience as the fate of the world is left to the player.

…depends on you! – Time has changed the world of Allegoria. While fans of the first game will recognize locations and paths from the original, they’ll find them visually revamped, rebuilt, connected, and improved across more than 300 new levels in the open world.

So get on training. – The new title expands on the Mastery System from the first game by introducing a party-based tactical combat system. In addition, the game introduces a new class system featuring over 50 different classes across three tiers. This means there are virtually endless possibilities to create your own unique classes.

Regular updates on The End of Allegoria are available on the CTG channels on CTG-Kanälen Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook.
