Press release:
March 8th, 2024.
The Ankara-based (Turkey) indie games developer Backpack Games are today very happy and excited to announce that their environmental adventure/sim “Clean the Sea!“, is now available for PC via Steam.

Embark on a virtual maritime mission to restore our oceans with Clean the Sea!, the new game launching on Steam. This environmental adventure, originally a hit on mobile platforms, is now enhanced for gamers to chart a course toward a cleaner, brighter future.

In Clean the Sea! players take the helm of a lone vessel in a serene yet polluted virtual ocean, navigating through various levels of environmental challenges. The goal is simple yet profound: collect waste, save marine life, and see the waves of change ripple through as each piece of trash is removed.

Starting with a modest boat, players will gather debris, earn resources, and gradually build a fleet poised to tackle the ever-growing threat of oceanic pollution. With each upgrade, the player’s reach and efficiency expand, turning a single craft’s effort into a global movement.

Clean the Sea! offers a meditative yet engaging experience that simulates the recycling process. These challenges not only entertain but also educate on the complexities of waste management and recycling. As players voyage from the icy waters of Antarctica to Amsterdam’s iconic canals, they’ll witness the direct consequences of their actions. The once murky waters will teem with life and color, showcasing the game’s dynamic environmental effects.

Join us on March 9th, 2024, for the launch of Clean the Sea! on Steam. A release on Xbox Series X|S is set to follow in the coming weeks. Take the wheel and become an agent of change in this playful yet poignant exploration of one of the most pressing issues of our time. Global Pricing at Release: $2.99
