The US-based indie games developer IllFonic today announced with excitement and delight that their ever-evolving cooperative multiplayer shooter “Arcadegeddon” is now available for PC (via the Epic Games Store) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and the Xbox One) for 29,29 USD.

Gilly, the owner of a local arcade, fights to save his business from the evil mega-corporation Fun Fun Co. (FFC). He creates a super game by connecting all the top arcade games together, but the FFC hacks into the arcade and injects a virus.

Arcadegeddon is an ever-evolving co-op multiplayer experience rated T for Teen, and provides a mix of PVE and PVP experiences that allows for all different speeds of play.

Play solo or with up to three friends regardless of platform to explore multiple biomes, mini-games, find hidden chests, and defeat numerous enemy types and boss levels. Take on additional challenges from the local “gangs” that hang out in Gilly’s Arcade to earn street cred and a spot on the global leaderboards.

After a year in Early Access on PC and PlayStation 5, Gilly’s Arcade opens up to new challengers on PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical version from Nighthawk Interactive will be available for pre-order today, and ready for pickup or shipping on August 30,2022 from various retailers.

While all Early Access accounts are being reset, all unlocked cosmetics will remain in players’ inventories. Early Access players will receive a special outfit, a unique decoration, currency boost bundle, and a 5-day minimum XP boost.

Important Insights

Arcadegeddon showcases original music made for the game by Aaron Rutherford, Jimmy Blythe (AFK), Mark Rutherford, and Ray Volpe. We’ve also got music from Getter, UZ, Thook, Halogenix, Milano, South, and Swrly. Even our very own GRAMMY-winning CEO, Charles Brungardt, made a return to music and produced a few tracks for the game! The first two volumes of the soundtrack are now available on digital music platforms.

Arcadegeddon is rated T (for Teen) and supports cross-platform play across all available platforms at 1.0 launch.

Arcadegeddon runs on Unreal Engine 4.
