Press release:
Windy Games has announced today that the explorative adventure title “Miasma Caves” will be leaving Steam Early Access in Q1 2020. Having released onto Steam Early Access in January 2019, Windy Games has continued development on the subterranean title adding new features such as controller support, new caves and a slew of improvements to make for hours of satisfying cave excavation.

Miasma Caves brings a non-violent adventure to players of all ages where the environment is the only danger that players will face.

In Miasma Caves players will venture into depths unknown as female protagonist Lesath, a Draconid who has decided to reinvigorate her village by taking up the family business of treasure hunting.

Venturing into the nearby caves, players will guide Lesath through procedurally generated subterranean systems players will need to be strategic though, as time is not in unlimited supply as the caves contain miasma, a magical and dangerous substance that depletes Lesath’s health over time.

In order to ensure they make it out of the cave on time, players will want to make use of resources such as markers, ropes, and torches to help them make their way back before Lesath’s health is depleted.

As players venture into the caves they’ll want to keep their eyes out for treasures which they can then appraise and sell back in the village.

Selling treasures will allow players to gain access to additional supplies such as air cleansers which can remove clouds of condensed poison and unblock passages so they can delve deeper into the cave.

Players will also be able to equip a pickaxe to uncover additional treasures and open new pathways within the cave, being a Draconid Lesath is also well equipped to dig herself by utilizing her claws.

Players will also encounter a variety of creatures while exploring the cave which will not be aggressive towards Lesath but may also present additional obstacles for players to contend with.

By unearthing treasures and bringing them back to Lesath’s village Radiant Ridge, players will be able to upgrade the surrounding buildings and allow the town to flourish.

Players will also be able to interact with the people of Radiant Ridge learning more about the area and its surroundings as well as increasing their knowledge in appraising the artifacts they collect on their excavations or even reset the cave system.

Miasma Caves brings a nostalgic feel harking back to the era of DreamCast and PS One titles with vibrant characters and an entrancing soundtrack.

Explorers of all ages can start their adventure in Miasma Caves in Early Access on Steam and can look forward to the game’s full release in Q1 2020. For more information on Miasma Caves visit the official site or join the Discord server.
