26 JUNE 2019 – Escape an ever-changing labyrinth in “Maze of Magic“, the brand new perplexing puzzle game from developers Faction of Four, which releases today for iPhone and iPad.

In this free-to-play mobile puzzle game, players navigate a large floating maze that changes and rearranges itself on the fly – as demonstrated in the brand new Maze of Magic launch trailer, also unveiled today.

In a world overtaken by an evil sorcerer, players must locate a set of magic scrolls then return to the entrance before the time runs out.

But with traps aplenty and a procedurally generated maze that changes not only every time you play, but even while you play, your task isn’t as easy as it first seems…

With increasingly complex mazes to navigate, and progressively punishing traps with which to contend, Maze of Magic invites players to combine pace and precision in a tense, entertaining puzzle adventure.

Stuart Palmer, Maze of Magic creator and founder of Faction of Four, said: “I remember as a kid watching the cult-classic film Labyrinth, and being fascinated with the idea of this vast, magical maze with a mind of its own. This inspired our maze-changing mechanic, which really adds an unusual dimension to the game.

Do you explore the maze slowly and safely, memorising every turn as you go? Or perhaps you should dash between pathways as the maze collapses, making more progress but risking falling off the maze entirely?”

He added: “We’re excited to release Maze of Magic out into the wild, and I hope that it gives players as much enjoyment as its development gave us.”
