The Boca Raton-based (Florida, the US) indie games developer Kraken Studios are today very happy and proud to announce that their retro-like fantasy strategy/adventure game “Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero“, is coming to PC via Steam this July (2024).

Furthermore, Kraken Studios has also just announced that they have released a playable demo for “Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero” (the said demo is available right now for PC via Steam). So if you’re into these kinds of games, then be sure to download the said demo and give it a try.

Staking Your Claim

Bringing a board-game feel to the Steam storefront, Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero is a fantasy strategy and adventure game where the fate of heroes, armies, and kingdoms lies in your hands. With up to 50 kingdoms to explore and conquer, players must organize armies, establish an economy, uncover magical items, and stand their ground to prove victorious. Whether your strength lies in brute force or political prowess, Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero offers many different ways to play.

Building Your Empire

With four scenarios to choose from, you will venture around the map, exchanging your resources for armies, buildings, and heroes. Assign these heroes to parties of 6, capitalizing on their unique combat skills to face off against the horrors of the Corruption Curse. With a full party, players can experience Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero’s unique adventure system. To uncover new resources, magic items, and artifacts, heroes travel through treacherous dungeons across the map, promising new items behind the threat of new challenges.

Customizing Your Campaign

Beyond exciting combat opportunities and an eclectic cast of characters, Kingdom, Dungeon, and Hero boasts a variety of additional features to create an engaging experience for all players. The game’s Editor grants customizable maps, heroes, and magic items for a personalized campaign. As you form your party and send them to battle, summaries are provided upon return detailing lost items and heroes, as well as new achievements and earned resources. In addition, random events and an unpredictable weather system will challenge even the most seasoned adventurers!

Ready-to-Play: Challenge friends in PBEM co-op or test your skills against a computer opponent.
Risk and Reward: Negotiate with other kingdoms to form allies, or force your will with a sword.
Testing the Waters: Hidden fleets test your skills against piracy, interception, and evasion.
Traitorous Acts: Send your heroes on missions to hunt down your kingdom’s greatest enemies.
Play Wherever: Invite friends to your campaign with the game’s multiplayer mode, implementing a traditional play via email format to remind players of their turn.
