The Paris-based (France) indie games developer Gemelli Games today announced with great delight and thrill that their fantasy tactical RPG “Skygard Arena“, is coming to PC via Steam Early Access on November 18th, 2024.

To mark the occasion, the team has unveiled a new trailer that invites players into the colorful world of Skygard, a realm forever altered by an ancient cataclysm.

In Skygard Arena, players lead the Champions of five factions vying for victory in the Tournament of the Ancients, where disputes are settled through intense tactical battles. The new trailer showcases the game’s unique combat system, where Champions can dash, teleport, and unleash game-changing combos in a single turn, as well as a glimpse at the content that awaits players for the Early Access launch.

The trailer introduces two new formidable Champions: the valiant front-liner Vallya and the cat-assassin Bu Shin. These two join the roster that was previously available in the public Demo version, bringing the total to nine playable Champions, with more to come during Early Access.

Players can also catch a glimpse of the all-new solo Campaign mode, featuring hand-crafted tactical missions: intense clashes between the Champions, objective capture run, unique enemies and maps, large-scale battles, epic boss encounters… The first three chapters will be available at Early Access launch, and more are planned to be released in future updates.

For players looking for freeform battles, the game’s Arena mode, already acclaimed by the community of Demo players, promises exhilarating battles. In this mode, teams of three Champions face each other, capturing objectives or eliminating their opponents to grab enough victory points. Those interested in online competition can face other players in matchmaking, while others looking to have fun solo can challenge an AI with several levels of difficulty.
