Press release:
12th November 2025.
The UK-based indie studio Archangel Software are today very proud and delighted to announce their sophomore title , ‘Highway Noir’, is coming to PC via Steam in early 2026.
Highway Noir combines high speed driving gameplay with a magnetic neo-noir aesthetic and a story of betrayal, revenge, and moral choices.
Players take on the role of a freelance driver for hire, taking dangerous contracts from the city’s criminal underworld. Take the wheel on high-speed chases, narrow escapes, and risky deliveries while earning cash and uncovering a deadly plot within the Major Crimes Agency.
You were once the best driver the Major Crimes Agency had. Then a mission went wrong, and they let you take the fall. Now you ride for the highest bidder, tearing through a rainsoaked city where every deal comes with a price.
Every job drags you deeper into chaos, crime, and corruption, until a mysterious voice called Merlin offers you a chance at revenge.
But will you trust someone you’ve never met?
Outrun the law. Uncover the truth. Make the streets your weapon in Highway Noir.
Key Features:
– Race through high-speed chases, tight manouevres, and narrow escapes through a blazing neon world.
– Weave through a black and white city where every car in colour is a threat or an opportunity.
– Take on contracts as a freelancer and earn cash to upgrade your fleet and win bigger jobs.
– Follow the story for revenge and redemption, or jump straight into Infinite Run, Pursuit, Escape, and other fast-play modes to test your reflexes and push your limits.

– Take jobs, earn cash, and strike back at the agency that betrayed you. Merlin says he wants to help. Do you believe him?
– Highway Noir includes subtitles, tone tags, vision assist, and game speed options for a smoother and more accessible experience.
Discussing the announcement of Highway Noir, developer Mike Parry said: “I want to drop the player into an action movie car chase. But how to get them there? My answer is to drop them into a revenge thriller at the same time.”
