Press release:
Dublin, Ireland (October 28, 2026) – Today indie studio Katapult Games announced DUNK, a first-person basketball game where skill, teamwork, and physics collide to create stunning displays of sporting prowess, alongside hilariously unpredictable moments of personal failure. DUNK comes to PC via Steam in 2027.

DUNK takes what you know about basketball and puts it into a whole new perspective, literally. See the court through your own eyes in a recreation of hoops, where, just like in the real-life game, it’s easy to pick up and play but rewarding to master the fundamentals.

In DUNK, skill is everything and the most successful ballers are those who take the time to develop their on-court skills. Every pass, rebound, and shot from downtown is in your hands and powered by physics, not standard scripted animations genre fans have come to expect. Sink a clutch three-pointer, hit a dime-piece pass for the assist, and bask in your teammates’ cheers and celebratory high-fives (which have a dedicated button!). Miss an open layup, and, well, we wouldn’t want to be in your oversized shoes.

From the Schoolyard to the Moon and deep into the Jungle, take on fast-paced 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 matchups and master the gameplay quirks of every court. Jump into casual or competitive multiplayer with friends or rivals. Need to practice? Solo challenges give you time on the court away from the judging eyes of others.

After a hard-fought victory, stick around courtside and make sure no one forgets your latest buzzer-beater. At the end of a hard day’s ball, pick up a new cosmetic, perk, or emote and remind your opponents just who owns the court.

Key features of DUNK:

Get an all-new view of the hoop: The first-person camera gives you a front-row seat for every crunching dunk and desperate block. Physics rather than scripted animations means every successful shot gives you the smug glow of knowing that it was all you – and that there’s no one else to blame but yourself when you throw a real brick.

Pass the ball, share the glory: There’s no ‘I’ in ‘team’ or in ‘DUNK’ and this is a game that rewards players who know when to pass, where to position themselves, and how to work together. Because even the best baller can’t ally-oop alone.

Put your money where your mouth is: Hang out, show off, and reignite rivalries courtside. Offer “constructive feedback” to opponents and teammates using proximity chat (keep it friendly!).

Court couture: New perks and emotes will keep you coming back to the court. Quick games and rapid resets mean it’s easy to jump back in and show off your latest unlocked cosmetic.

DUNK is headed to PC via Steam. Wishlist now for the latest news, and get your game face ready for a playtest coming soon
