Press release:
24 OCTOBER 2019 – Glitch Games, developer of the popular Forever Lost series, today announce that their upcoming first-person psychological mystery game, “Veritas“, will launch on February 12th, 2020 for PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Alongside a brand new trailer, Glitch Games have also announced that players who sign up to the Discord can play the free beta of Veritas immediately.
Having volunteered for a study conducted by the mysterious Veritas Industries, you find yourself waking up in a small cell with no memory of what happened the day before. It’s up to you to break out, explore the sinister facility and solve the path to your freedom – and hope to make sense of it all along the way.
The trailer showcases not only the dark story behind the variety of puzzles filling the halls of Veritas, but also the innovative Glitch Camera – a device that harks back to classic mystery titles where pen-and-paper note taking was needed. Instead, players can take a photo at any time and scrawl their puzzle-solving thoughts straight onto them.
When talking about the inspiration for Veritas, co-founder Graham Ranson said: We’ve always been fascinated by the idea that if you’re no more than a product of your own memories then what would happen if we took them away…
Who would you trust if you couldn’t trust yourself?
Are you even still you?
Speaking on the topic of the Glitch Games approach to making a mystery, he continued: We’re not blind to the fact that mystery games such as these require a player to have an almost inhuman memory for clues, items, thoughts, and story branches.
So, we set about creating the Glitch Camera which allows players to take photos during play, write notes on them, and use them to solve puzzles.
Veritas will release on February 12th, 2020 on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Players can keep updated on the game via their Twitter and mailing list – and try the free beta now over on their Discord.

About Glitch Games
At Glitch Games, glitches are only part of the story. Glitch Games believe that some of the greatest things around were created by accident (just look at sticky notes and the slinky). So at Glitch they embrace – no encourage – accidents, glitches and bugs of all nature – they then turn the best of these into features.
