Press release:
Zephyr Cove, NV, October 19th, 2021.
1047 Games is getting festive as the company has pushed a spectacular seasonal update live: “Spookygate“. The Splitgate main menu and stadium has had a full Halloween makeover and fans can now earn three new fan-created weapon skins by completing all-new Halloween challenges through November 1.
Additional updates include important enhancements to portals, which now re-place when shooting the same portal on itself, as well as various bug fixes.
Earlier this week, 1047 Games and Logitech rolled out the first professional Esports tournament, the Splitgate Pro Series, with a purse of $100,000 USD with cash and prizes from competition partner ASTRO Gaming. Matches begin October 17 and will be broadcasted via Splitgate’s official Twitch channel, and fans can keep up with results via the Splitgate Pro Series website. Spookygate content will be in rotation on the tournament playlist, but the enhancements are cosmetic and do not affect gameplay.
One of the defining games of summer 2021, Splitgate exploded onto PCs and consoles as the game hit open beta across all platforms in July. With more than 15 million downloads, the unique portal shooter features 20+ available maps, hundreds of exclusive weapon skins, armor skins, banners, jetpacks and more with premium DLCs, a battle pass and more.
Fans can jump into Season 0 now, completely for free.
The latest updates and announcements can be found by following 1047 Games on Twitter, Discord or at Splitgate.com.
