The Haarlem-based (the Netherlands) indie games publisher Iceberg Interactive and Ghent-based (Belgium) indie games developer Get Up Games, are today very proud and happy to announce that the full version of their swashbuckling pirate battle royale “Blazing Sails“, is now available for PC via Steam and EGS.

Starting today, aspiring pirates and seasoned buccaneers can join the action on Steam and Epic Games Store, as we set sail into a new era of piracy. In honor of the release, Iceberg Interactive has chosen to keep the price at $14.99 along with extending a 35% discount for the launch week.

“Blazing Sails” releases the new Caraval ship into the treacherous waters of the Battle Royale mode today, offering a thrilling experience like never before. Players can also choose to add some new limbs to their treasure chests when the Limbs of Lore DLC releases alongside the full launch.

In Blazing Sails, players will create their own unique ship and pirate, banding together with other players to command their mighty vessels. Navigating the high seas, they’ll hunt for loot, resources, unique weapons, and ship upgrades, engaging in fierce naval combat to sink every other ship and emerge victorious.

Blazing Sails 1.0 brings a treasure chest full of enhancements and adventures, including an engine update to version 4.27, ensuring a smoother and more immersive gaming experience. The game now runs on EOS (Epic Online Services), unlocking new possibilities for the game with its matchmaking system and crossplay, setting the course for a bright and dynamic future. With new servers on Amazon’s AWS infrastructure, players can navigate the treacherous waters with confidence.

New Experimental Game Mode – Gungame:
Prepare to engage in an adrenaline-fueled showdown with a twist in our new and experimental game mode, “Gungame.” It’s a thrilling challenge that’ll keep even the hardiest of pirates on their toes.

As we continue to fine-tune and enhance the game after the release, certain features such as the conquest game mode and 2-player ships have been temporarily disabled but will return in greater glory.
